Kimbery's Story

Kimberly is a 3 year old little girl that was diagnosed with stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma. Her tumor is in her stomach.   I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet little girl and her mom last week.  Unfortunately, Kimberly is not doing very well.  She is in the NICU at Scottish Rite and has been there for approximately 2 months.  Her mom said that she cannot move anything but her eyes.  Please pray for this precious little girl.

Kimberly was diagnosed back in 2011 with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma at the age of 4. Her tumor was in her stomach.  Kimberly underwent many rounds of chemo and radiation and spent months in the PICU with a very small chance of survival.  I remember asking the social worker to make sure and let me know when she passed away.  I was so excited and amazed one day upon entering the AFLAC cancer center to see her in a regular room and out of the PICU.  Today 6 years later she is doing well!!!! She has issues from the cancer but is alive and thriving.  She even attended a recent breakfast with Santa event. So happy for this success story.
